The Craft Box News & Happenings ~ January 2018
Happy New Year! We hope 2018 will be a year filled with joy and crafts! Thank you for your continued support. We are amazed that we are entering our 6th year of business—we’ve come a far way from our first 500 square foot space. We are excited about the new possibilities at our new location and hope you will find a place that encourages crafting synergy.
The Craft Box will be closed on January 1st and 2nd.
We have clearance items priced to sell! Check them out on our front table and closet.
We know that some of you have been frustrated with the long wait to bring your items in for compensation so we’re changing how we take appointments for compensated intakes. And now that we have all of our inventory in one place, we are working on managing our space and won’t be accepting as many pre-scheduled appointments.
To get an appointment for January, please call starting January 3rd at 10:00 a.m. We will taking 10 appointments for January. You must talk to us to schedule an appointment, please do not leave a voice mail. We will not be taking appointments for any other month. We will post on our website when we are accepting appointments.
Please consult our website for updated lists on items that we are not taking. Our previous guidelines still apply: a limit of 3 boxes or large bags per drop off, we will not pay for items that smell like moth balls, smoke or mustiness, or items covered in pet hair.
We want to collect as many scarves and hats as possible and take them to downtown Denver and leave them for homeless people in a park. If you have any that you’d like to contribute, please bring them in! We would like to deliver the items early in February, so please drop them off by Saturday, January 27th. Thanks for your participation!
Join our Creativity Challenge! Here’s how it works: A new challenge will be announced every other month beginning in January. The finished project must be brought to the Craft Box by the 1st of the second month. All projects will be on display, during which the customers will vote for their favorite. The winner will be announced at the end of the second month and will receive $10.00 in Craft Box Bucks.
The first challenge for this year is to use Hearts in a project, with a size restriction of 12″ square for the finished item. We know that there’s a wide range of things that can include hearts, that’s what makes it fun!
The entries will be due in the store by Thursday, Feb.1st and voted on until Saturday, Feb. 24th. The winner will be announced on Feb. 28th and will receive $10 in Craft Box Bucks.
