The Craft Box News & Happenings ~ September 2019

Love is in the air!

Happy Valentine’s Day, we sure do love our customers!  Sharing the love of creativity:  that’s what we’re all about!  We love good bargains, too, so this month we have 20% off all beads, buttons, ribbon and trim.

The Craft Box is going green this yer!  We will no longer be using single use plastic bags for merchandise purchases, so pleas bring your own bag when shopping with us.  We do have handy Craft Box tote bags available for $2.99.

Now that the holidays are behind us, it’s time to start on those wonderful projects that have been patiently waiting for you.  Consider renting time in our classroom!  We have plenty of room and also a variety of tools available for your use (dress forms, Big Shot and Accuquilt cutting machines, along with dies, rotary cutters/mats, sewing machines and more).   We now have open workshop times available, please call the store to reserve your space and time. Prices vary depending on the length of time you’re here.

Changes to our punch card:  we will no longer be punching new or partial punch cards during tansactions where a full punch card is being redeemed.  Punches will be given on pre-tax amounts.

Before you bring donations, please give us a call and we can tell you if we have the room and manpower to accept them.

Our return policy:  Items are returnable within 30 days only if defective.  Thanks for your cooperation!  We are always happy to let customers try out punches or other tools before buying.

We will be taking appointments on Wednesday, Feb. 5th starting at 10:00 a.m.  Keep trying, thanks for your patience with our new system.  You MUST speak to a Craft Box staff member, please do not leave a message.  If you have had previous appointments recently, we will only take 2 from the same person in a one year period to keep it fair for everyone who’d like to bring items in.  We have recently updated the list of items that we will not pay for on our website, check it out here:  Products we buy

Whether you’re bringing a donation or a drop-off for compensation, please inspect your boxes for pests that may have taken up residence.  If we find evidence of bugs, moths, beetles or mice, we will immediately discard the items (if donated) or put outside and ask that they be picked up (if for compensation) and we will not accept future drop-offs from that person.  Thank you for your diligence and understanding.

Please, no dumping or donations left at the building after hours or without our knowledge.

A big thank you to the ladies who came and helped sew up Joey pouches to send to Australia. We ended up sending 11 pouches with 33 liners, which was great!

We got some overwhelming positive responses to continue our ongoing mission of making fidget quilts for Alzheimer and dementia patients, so we will continue to do so. Our friend Karen came in one afternoon and made up more kits, so please pick one up, sew it up and bring it back for a senior to enjoy.

We have a large variety of classes happening this month!  Please check under the Happenings tab here on our website to see all that is being offered.
All classes need reservations 2 days before the class so that the instructor can plan.  All classes require a minimum of 2 students in order for it to occur.  Classes must be paid for in advance.  If not paid in the store, please call with a credit card number.

Our classroom is available to rent, please call the store to discuss dates with our staff.  The rental rate for the classroom is $20 per hour with a 2 hour minimum.  We will do our best to accommodate any schedule requests, however, reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis.
