“Knitting 101” #0320-01
Knitting is both fun and relaxing! It’s a great way to develop eye-hand coordination, and it’s also a wonderful way to develop focus, burn off some nervous energy, and knit away some stress. And, handknit items make great gifts! This class is for the complete beginner and also for someone who’s tried to knit before and needs some help. Students will build a solid foundation in basic skills: knit and purl stitch; increases and decreases; cast-ons and bind-offs; fixing simple mistakes; knitting in the round; and how to read patterns. Class project is a knit slouchy or beanie hat. Some homework time (at least 10 minutes a day) will help the student be more successful.
