Dressmaking Camp for Kids July

We are partnering with Claudia from Sew You Studio for our summer kid’s sewing programs.  Registrations will be made through her website.

DRESSMAKING CAMP FOR KIDS is for students that are interested in learning to sew clothes! Students will learn about taking measurements, working with patterns, preparing fabric, and basic techniques specific to sewing clothes. This camp is open to boys and girls.

• Girls will sew a tank top and shorts (with pockets!). If time allows, they can sew a skirt.

• Boys will sew a raglan-sleeve shirt and shorts.

PREREQUISITE: Intro to Sewing for Kids or basic sewing machine experience where student is able to operate a sewing machine independently and sew straight stitches.

Camp Dates/Times:

• Summer 2019

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

• July 8, 9, 10, 11

• 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Age Group: ages 8 and older

Skill Level: Intermediate beginner and beyond

Fee:

• $160 for a 4-day series, includes materials and use of sewing machines, tools, and notions

• $45/day (drop-in), includes materials (Drop-in option is only available if we any open seats. Contact Claudia to inquire about availability.)
