Adult Beginning Sewing 101

This class stresses safety using the sewing machine, how to thread the machine and how all the parts function.  New students start by stitching on straight and wavy lines and negotiating corners.  A very simple wine bottle bag with ribbon closure is the first project.  For many beginners, making their first piece of clothing is very exciting and elastic waist lounge pants are the perfect thing!  The final project that students create is a lined tote bag; they are amazed at how it all comes together and they love to carry their belongings home in it.

This is a 3 session class, meeting for 2 1/2 hours each class, on 3 consecutive Saturdays.
