The Craft Box News & Happenings ~ December 2020

Happy Holidays!

* We are open from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 on Saturdays.
* We may find it necessary to close the store from time to time for employee testing and store sanitizing.  We are sorry for the inconvenience, but the safety of our customers and staff is very important.  Updates can be found on our Facebook page, website or by calling the store. A reminder, also, that if Jefferson County Schools are closed due to the weather, we are too.
* With COVID-19 cases on the rise, we remind everyone visiting our store that The Colorado Statewide Mandatory Mask Order requires all people entering a business in Colorado to wear a mask (children under 2 years are exempt).  Please wear your mask properly, covering both your nose and mouth.
* We will require customers to wash their hands, use hand sanitizer or put on gloves (provided by us) when entering the store.
* To honor social distancing protocols, we limit the number of customers in the store at one time to 5.  It is helpful if non-shoppers can make room for paying customers by waiting outside if we are at capacity, we appreciate your patience and cooperation.  Please follow the cues provided on the floor for your safety.

* Unfortunately, due to the surge in COVID-19 cases, we have decided to cancel our annual in-house craft fair.  We may try to do something similar in the spring, possibly in May.
* Holiday Closures:  We will be closed Dec. 24-27 and Dec. 31-Jan. 3.

All Christmas fabric is 10% off and all other Christmas merchandise is 20% off!

We have received our first shipment of QT Fabrics Rapture line!  These lovely fabrics feature tonal texture to add depth and dimension to your quilting and sewing projects.  Our first shipment included shades of grey, blue, brown, green, orange, red, and cream.  We will be receiving 10 new shades each month until we have the whole collection of 80 fabrics.

We carry Schmetz sewing machine needles in lots of different sizes and types (universal, quilting, embroidery, knit and jeans).

December is a no-take month for us, so that we can get caught up with pricing and getting items out. We will be taking appointments again in January.

Whether you’re bringing a donation or a drop-off for compensation, please inspect your boxes for pests that may have taken up residence. If we find evidence of bugs, moths, beetles or mice, we will immediately discard the items (if donated) or put outside and ask that they be picked up (if for compensation) and we will not accept future drop-offs from that person. Thank you for your diligence and understanding.

Please, no dumping or donations left at the building after hours or without our knowledge.

Oh my goodness, we are so overwhelmed by the response for Soap Sacks!  We received 102, which was so amazing!  Thank you so much for your time and generosity!  They will be distributed to homeless shelters in the Denver metro area.

We also delivered 12 lovely fidget quilts to the residents of Little Sisters of the Poor.  Thanks to all who sewed these treasures, they are much appreciated. We always have kits for these available in the store, as it is an ongoing charity.

We will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable foods to give to The Christian Action Guild in Golden in December.  Please bring your items in by December 22nd.

No classes are scheduled due to COVID-19.
