Changes to Compensated Intake Procedures:
We know that some of you have been frustrated with the long wait to bring your items in for compensation so we’re changing how we take appointments for compensated intakes. And now that we have all of our inventory in one place, we are working on managing our space and won’t be accepting as many pre-scheduled appointments.
To get an appointment for January, please call starting January 3rd at 10:00 a.m. We will taking 10 appointments for the month. You must talk to us to schedule an appointment, please do not leave a voice mail. We will not be taking appointments for any other month. We will post on our website when we are accepting appointments.
Please consult our website for updated lists on items that we are not taking. Our previous guidelines still apply: a limit of 3 boxes or large bags per drop off, we will not pay for items that smell like moth balls, smoke or mustiness, or items covered in pet hair.
Beginning January 3, 2018 after 10:00 a.m., we will be accepting calls for 10 appointments for the month of January. Watch our website (and newsletter) for the next set of available appointments. We are not accepting rubber stamps, apparel or home decorator fabric. If you can’t wait until then, we will accept donations at any time.
Typically, December is the coldest month of the year in the Denver area. With that in mind, we will be collecting hats, scarves, socks and gloves to distribute to the homeless through December 30th. Last year we collected close to 100 items, we hope to top that this year! We will also keep collecting shoes for Soles4Souls until further notice.
