The Craft Box News & Happenings ~ August 2019

It’s hard to believe that August is here and that the kiddos will be soon returning to school!

While the kids start hitting the books, come by and check out our book blowout!  We will have tons of books at 50% off of our low Craft Box prices, and also a lot of $1.00 books.  All of our regular books will be 20% off, and magazines are buy one, get another one for free!

We so appreciate all of the donations that we receive from people, but are having trouble keeping up with the volume.  We pass on to various charities about 75% of what we get in from donations.  We would appreciate it if you have general craft or partially used items to donate, that you find a charity or school to give them to.  Before bringing donations, please give us a call and we can tell you if we have the room and manpower to accept them.  Thanks!

Our return policy:  Items are returnable within 30 days only if defective.  Thanks for your cooperation!  We are always happy to let customers try out punches or other tools before buying.

We will be taking appointments on Thursday, August 8th starting at 10:00 a.m.  Keep trying, thanks for your patience with our new system.  You MUST speak to a Craft Box staff member, please do not leave a message.  If you have had previous appointments recently, we will only take 2 from the same person in a one year period to keep it fair for everyone who’d like to bring items in.  We have recently updated the list of items that we will not pay for on our website, check it out here:  Products we buy

Whether you’re bringing a donation or a drop-off for compensation, please inspect your boxes for pests that may have taken up residence.  If we find evidence of bugs, moths, beetles or mice, we will immediately discard the items (if donated) or put outside and ask that they be picked up (if for compensation) and we will not accept future drop-offs from that person.  Thank you for your diligence and understanding.

Please, no dumping or donations left at the building after hours or without our knowledge.

From August 1-17, we will be collecting school supplies for The Action Center.  Here are some of the items they need:

  • Backpacks
  • Loose Leaf Paper
  • Spiral & Composition Notebooks
  • Pens – Black, Blue, & Red
  • Colored Pencils

From August 19-31, we will be highlighting our ongoing Fidget Quilt project.  We need volunteers to cut fabric into squares, sew squares together and embellish the quilts.  We will work on the quilts Tuesday, August 20th and Wednesday, August 21st from 1:00-4:00 p.m.  If possible, please call and let us know that you will be coming.  Also, if our classroom is available, you may come anytime and we’ll set you up to cut squares, just let us know.

We have a large variety of classes happening this month!  Please check under the Happenings tab here on our website to see all that is being offered.
