The Craft Box News & Happenings ~ April 2019

For the entire month of April, we will have 20% off of all books and beads!

We will be “GOING GREEN” in 2020. What does that mean to you?  We will no longer be buying single use plastic grocery merchandise bags to put purchased items in, so you will need to bring your own bag or we will used previously used bags to put your items in.  In preparation for this and in celebration of Earth Day 2019, we will be having reusable tote bag workshops at the store on Saturday, April 20 and Monday, April 22 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. All materials will be provided and the workshop is free!  Please call to reserve your space for either workshop by Wednesday, April 17.

Our return policy:  Items are returnable within 30 days only if defective.  Thanks for your cooperation!  We are always happy to let customers try out punches or other tools before buying.

We will be taking appointments on Thursday April 4th starting at 10:00 a.m.  Keep trying, thanks for your patience with our new system.  You MUST speak to a Craft Box staff member, please do not leave a message.  If you have had previous appointments recently, we will only take 2 from the same person in a one year period to keep it fair for everyone who’d like to bring items in.

We do take donations at any time that we’re open.  Please, no dumping or donations left at the building after hours or without our knowledge.

Whether you’re bringing a donation or a drop-off for compensation, please inspect your boxes for pests that may have taken up residence.  If we find evidence of bugs, moths, beetles or mice, we will immediately discard the items (if donated) or put outside and ask that they be picked up (if for compensation) and we will not accept future drop-offs from that person.  Thank you for your diligence and understanding.

In April, we will be collecting children’s books for the Reach Out and Read Program at Denver Health.  Here is the scoop!

Reach Out and Read

With our Reach Out and Read program, gently used books are placed in waiting areas at clinics to create literacy-rich environments, given to siblings during Well Child Visits, and offered to patients during sick visits. It is our goal that every time a child enters our clinics that they leave with a book in their hands. Help us make this goal a reality.

We are happy to accept new and gently used children’s books abiding by the following guidelines:

  • Be new or gently used (covers and pages intact, clean and unmarked pages)
  • Books may be for the following age groups: infants up to and including young adults
  • No textbooks
  • No used coloring or activity books

We have a lot of great classes coming up!
