The Craft Box News & Happenings ~ November 2018

It’s hard to believe how fast the year has gone by, it’s time again for Small Business Saturday! We will celebrate on Saturday, November 24th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with goodies and 10% off the entire store, excluding Craft Fair items. Our Craft Fair will start on Friday, November 23rd and run through December 8th. It’s a great time to come in and buy from local artists!
For the entire month of November, we will have 20% off of rubber stamps, ink pads and stencils!

We will be taking appointments starting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 5th for compensated drop offs. We are especially in need of good quality quilting fabrics so half of our appointments will be for fabric. Keep trying, thanks for your patience with our new system. You MUST speak to a Craft Box staff member, please do not leave a message. If you have had previous appointments in 2018, we will only take 2 from the same person in one year to keep it fair for everyone who’d like to bring items in. We do take donations at any time that we’re open. Please, no dumping or donations left at the building after hours or without our knowledge. We have updated our list of items that we no longer pay for, it can be found here on our website: Products we don’t buy Some items new to the list include: large wooden items, office supplies, craft foam, party supplies and decorations, basket weaving materials and doll making supplies. Whether you’re bringing a donation or a drop-off for compensation, please inspect your boxes for pests that may have taken up residence. If we find evidence of bugs, moths, beetles or mice, we will immediately discard the items (if donated) or put outside and ask that they be picked up (if for compensation) and we will not accept future drop-offs from that person. Thank you for your diligence and understanding.

In November, we will be collecting reusable grocery bags for The Christian Action Guild located in Golden. We will have a work day on Thursday, November 15th from 2-4 p.m. to make these bags. You may also come by and pick up a pattern or check here Green Bag Lady Bag to sew them on your own at home. Please bring them in by November 30th.
We will be having a work night for Project Valentine on Friday, November 16th from 5-8 p.m. Here are the details: Project Valentine needs valentines!! Come join us as we make a dent in our quota of 3600 valentines to include in the 500 – 600 gift bags we give to patients having chemotherapy on Valentine’s Day. Our bags include an envelope of 6 or more valentines, handcrafted items (feel free to bring something to donate, even one item is one more than we had), puzzle books, lip balm, Celestial Seasoning tea, Chocolove chocolate bars and other candy, games, ball caps, and so much more. Most of all, they include so much love. Wine and nibbles will be served.
