The Craft Box, established in February 2012 by co-owners Liz and Sue, brings new life to gently used craft items.  Affectionately known as “The Box”, they work to reduce waste by encouraging creativity through the sale of craft items and promote a crafting haven through classes and events.  In addition, the local community is supported through the donation of items, time and talent to local charitable organizations. The idea of creating a thrift store geared toward crafters was born from the necessity Liz and Sue saw to “recycle” the many craft items that not only they had accumulated from a lifelong passion for crafting, but also those of friends, family, and even complete strangers.  Hence, The Craft Box was born.

In 2018, Sue made the difficult decision to leave The Craft Box staff to pursue some other endeavors in her life.  Liz continues to wear numerous hats at The Craft Box including Founder/Owner, Manager of Buttons, inventory Escapee and Crafter Extraordinaire.  In her free time, she enjoys a nice glass of wine and travel.

Lifelong crafters, the Craft Box staff are all well versed in crafts ranging from quilting, stamping, scrapbooking and needlework. They love being able to offer the Denver metropolitan community a place to have crafting supplies be brought back to life and give new crafters an opportunity to try crafting endeavors without an expensive initial investment.  The shop re-sells craft items brought in by customers, which are then sold to other crafters.  A “crafting heaven” where crafters can send those planned projects that just didn’t seem to get done, and know that other crafters will use them.  The Box is also a place for passing on craft materials to charities.

The Craft Box is NOT a consignment store.  Items are either donated to the store or purchased through our compensated drop-off procedures.  The Craft Box sells items at prices well below current market value, making it a great place for both crafters and charities to shop for their crafting items.
